About the role The typical hiring range for this role is $26-30/per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications.
This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime.

Monday to Friday.
Typically 7am -3 or 8 to 4pm.
Onsite full time Key responsibilities PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The primary role of the Maintenance Stores/Buyer is to manage and control the maintenance stores inventory and the maintenance purchasing workflow.
INTRINSIC REQUIREMENTS OF ROLE 50% of time spent in the store room and 50% on procurement of materials and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1Controls and processes the maintenance purchasing work flow from requisition all the way through to goods receipt for all purchases.
This includes:
a.
Receiving technical specifications from engineers b.
Sourcing parts and/or identifying suppliers c.
Receiving and or approving quotes d.
Generating and placing purchase orders e.
Follows up on overdue purchase orders for undelivered items.
f.
Receiving goods and completing Goods receipt notes against orders g.
Returning goods to supplier The stores buyer is responsible for ensuring all stock is managed and controlled within the engineering stores.
This includes:
a.
Management of all engineering stock sku files including holding levels, reorder points, EOQ and where necessary technical data specification sheets.
b.
Receiving goods into site and stores c.
Placing goods into stock d.
Ensuring proper storage conditions are applied to spares &/or materials (Environmental conditions, specific resting position, maintenance requirements) e.
Issuing of goods f.
Return of goods from site g.
Warranty of goods h.
Additions and/or removal of SKU's from stock i.
Management of all non-stock spares & materials to the point of issue j.
Management and control of all free issue consumables Manages & controls all rotable/refurbish-able repair parts from removal/review through to repair or disposal including both internal and external repair/servicing, collection and delivery.
Undertakes weekly cycle counting, ensuring each item location is checked at least twice a year, seeks authorisation for stock adjustments, makes stock adjustments and files all paperwork.
Undertakes training and trains others as identified by management for the proper discharge of duties in adhering to stock control procedures and/or requesting of non-stock spares & Materials.
Assembles spares kits for planned engineering works orders for the forthcoming week.
Ensures the stores area is maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
Works closely with vendors to ensure timely supply, best available cost of goods and quality of goods is sufficient to meet the site requirement/application Reports on goods movements' monthly providing analyses commentary and recommendations to improve contribute to the overall site operation cost efficiency.
Trending of goods issues identifying abnormal runs 2.

Stock control issues 4.
Vendor offerings to lower cost or extend life of components in an application.
SPECIFIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS Essential Desirable Qualifications and skills Education oShould have good oral / written communication skills.
oGood communication skills - able to present written and verbal reports that are understood by the target audience and ensure all communications with external persons are conducted in a professional manner which reflects the company profile.
Technical oSound PC & administrative skills including knowledge with stock management and purchasing systems.
oGood administrative and mathematical skills with willingness to handle paperwork oNegotiation skills and experience of working with vendors to lower cost or improve value for money.
Behavioural oExcellent organisation skills oConsistently Values led approach oEvidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MEASURES OF SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE The engineering purchaser / stores controller is measured in performance of his/her duties and execution of assigned responsibilities by:
oCompletion of assigned purchase orders oCompletion of assigned work order kitting oCompletion of assigned cycle counting oStores areas organised and tidy, with parts easily located and retrievable Stores Inventory Value - Meeting site agreed target Stores Cycle counting - 98% compliance Purchasing workflow control - No requisitions, PO's or queries older than 6 months PDP - Defined by site DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT This document is designed for guidance only and is not exhaustive.
