Duplicating Technician
Job Description Description Prepares patient impressions for duplicating and fabricates models using lab equipment including (but not limited to) ultrasonic cleaner, trimming wheel, Neoloid machine, and measuring devices.
- Knowledge and use of Model Trimmer- Knowledge of pouring and disinfecting impressions- Ability to mount models in articulators or fixators- Duplicate models using lab stone (plaster); also ability to add bases to models.
- Knowledge of prioritizing incoming cases for duplicating and distributing to lab.
- Knowledge and use of the Hydrochloride machines.
- Knowledge and use of model vibrator- Understanding of disinfecting process and equipment for bands and crowns.
Will be required to maintain the disinfection log.
- Maintain PM logs and perform PM's on Hydrochloride machines, trimmer, and Neoloid machines and other devices as required.
- Maintains productivity logs on a daily basis- Will be required to maintain a clean and organized work area including cleaning work area on a daily basis.
- Supports other departments as needed including material movement and shipping/receiving.
Requirements Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent- 1-2 years of experience in fabricating (duplicating) orthodontic models.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Rx, TSI is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Reasoning Ability:
o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
o Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations- Work Environment:
